(Thanks to Your Help) I Decided to Get This to You :)
December 21, 2009
Hey,

There was a landslide response to the survey I sent you the past couple of weeks. I was floored by just how many of you answered that you wanted to be able to work from home. I probably shouldn't be though, according to a recent Harris poll, 72% of American families are thinking about starting a home-based business. So you're certainly not alone.

The good news is there are tons of things moms can do to work from home. The bad news is the choices are overwhelming! How do you decide what's best? What will provide a good enough income? And what will really give you freedom (you won't want to give up the 9-to-5 just to spend your days cold calling or setting up meetings!)

When I was considering working from home, there was a little resource that helped me a lot. I got permission to give it to you awhile back, but I hesitated a bit. After all, you want me to talk about things like ecstatic birth stories and keeping baby happy ;) But, your survey responses made me think about it again, and I decided since it's the holidays and we're on the verge of "starting again in 2010" - I'd send it out.

I did a short little video (less than 2 minutes) to tell you more about it (you'll get to hear that accent my hubby is always picking on me about - sorry if I sound too dorky!).

Go ahead and check out the video and pick up your copy. It details different things moms can do at home (full time, part time or after work - while you're working towards getting home) and reveals some common challenges for moms.

There's a section on managing motherhood at the end - you don't want to miss that. It'll help you run your household more efficiently and have more time for your kids (and maybe some time for yourself ;p)

I hope you enjoy and Happy Holidays!
