The "I Can't Think of a Clever Title Edition"
January 21, 2010

Do you feel like no matter how hard you try, the mess just keeps building up? I certainly feel like that this week, as I'm trying to wade through lessons, appointments, and getting the house clean for my brother's visit next week! At least I know he'll be a very forgiving houseguest ;)

I've spent most of this week cleaning, teaching, and writing. I've gotten a lot of emails asking questions about the Baby Sleep Solution - if I haven't gotten to yours yet, I'm working on it. I've also gotten emails from moms getting more sleep and those really thrill me. I love knowing that Galen is sleeping better, we're sleeping better, and that other moms and babies are sleeping better! Here's a couple of my favorites:

Kristen,

Thank you for last weeks email re: sleep solutions. I began using it, and I am getting sleep already! Youre right. It is miraculous! I feel like a person again.

Kristen,

Thanks for all the help. My daughter is doing a lot better since your suggestion. She is still having some issue falling back to sleep when she wakes up but every night it gets better and easier. My husband cant believe we dont have to fight with her anymore. I cant thank you enough. So many of my friends gave me the just let her cry advice. As a mother, I just couldnt do that. I just couldnt see how that was something positive for either of us. Thanks again.

I LOVE your site!

~Lisa

I also have an "off topic" link for you this week. This is from Morty Lefkoe and his wife Shelly. They do work with people to help them eliminate negative beliefs, such as "I'm not good enough." I've found that beliefs like this (that I generally formed when I was younger) can surface when I'm having a hard day (because yes, I have crummy days too!)

Morty and Shelly have offered a few of their how-to videos for free this week and I thought I'd share with you. I went through one of them last time they offered this on the recommendation of a friend and I found it really helped me get rid of some negative beliefs that kept surfacing. Ok, I've carried on long enough for you, time to get into the newsletter!

BabyWearing Updates
--------------------

I was finally able to finish revising the babywearing section. Some of the pages are still long because I give step-by-step instructions on using some of the carriers, but I think I've made things clearer. If you had any of the pages bookmarked, you may need to update them because I changed a couple of page locations. In the end, I think this makes things clearer. Here's are all the babywearing links, including the long-awaited SleepyWrap review (I promised I'd get it posted!):

Submit Your Own Question
-------------------------

No bellies or babies this week! If you'd like to submit your own beautiful belly or adorable baby, go ahead - we love to see them! I've got a couple of birth stories I'm working on getting up - I proofread and format those completely manually so they sometimes take time. They're coming! In the meantime you can share at these links:

I have gotten several questions on how feeding is going with Galen, so I will try and do an update on that next week. We've made some progress and I'm excited for him, so I will work on an update for you.

In the meantime, I am going to be spending my weekend wading through piles of "to be organized" piles... and enjoying my sweetly sleeping Galen ;) I hope your weekend goes wonderfully!
