Changes for Natural Birth and Baby Care February 18, 2010 |
Don't worry - there won't be big changes to the site. But I wanted to let you know what's going on. Natural Birth and Baby Care is a big site - there are hundreds of pages and it continues to grow... And I'm thrilled with how many women it's helping. Since it's very successful, I decided to form an LLC to hold NBBC as well as a new site I've started. This won't change how NBBC is run - I'm the owner of the LLC and thus NBBC, and I'll still handle all your questions, Tiger Lily, and give you plenty of updates on the family ;) The slightly more formal structure just helps us separate the business aspects of running a successful site from our family's personal finances. The only change you'll see is the copyright on the bottom of NBBC's pages - it now says "Copyright 2005-2010 Milk and Mud, LLC" -------- I have gotten a TON of questions relating to trying to conceive and natural fertility lately. There's confusion about TTC basics... How do you know just when you're fertile, and what exactly is the best time to conceive? Your high school textbooks did you a huge disservice when they gave the tired old "Women ovulate on Day 14 and have 28 day cycles." That might be true for some women - but many others sit confused as months go by and they're still not pregnant (despite trying on Day 14 like clockwork!) There is a lot of information on natural fertility out there. I've been reading through it and frankly, most of the information is horrible. The resources are thrown together and many of them aren't actually written by the "author." They include "extra resources" which are just copies of government websites... So I was pleasantly surprised when Kirstyn Sierra sent me her Pregnancy Keys program for review. I was expecting more of the same rehashed government "TTC Info," but Kirstyn's program is completely different. It's a video course and the videos are professionally done and really informative. Kirstyn also includes written transcripts and plenty of supplemental resources - she wrote them all. Nothing is rehashed from public sites. If you or a friend needs good, solid information on TTC basics, Kirstyn's videos and written resources are for you. She does not go into complex infertility issues like PCOS and endometriosis - but she gives the best overview of the basics out there. She covers timing baby making sex for when YOU are fertile, what lubricants you shouldn't use (and which you can), charting, increasing fertile fluids, and boosting sperm count - along with other helpful tips and tricks. If you're looking for a good TTC resource, I highly recommend Kirstyn's program. We've had several discussions and it's refreshing to meet someone who genuinely cares and stands behind her product. ----- Placenta Ingestion? - This is a great question; feel free to share your thoughts in the comments! Two Negative Tests But Still No Period? ------------------------- I'll be working on getting the Q&A Index updated over the next week or so, to reflect all the recent questions. Watch for that, and for a few other new things coming! ~Kristen P.S. Go ahead and check out Kirstyn's Pregnancy Keys - it gives clear, accurate information on how to conceive quickly - and naturally.
