Tiger Lily, Issue #002 -- Baby Sleep, Natural Fever Remedies, and Water Birth! July 02, 2006 |
| From the Editor: Submit a Question/Comment Summertime is here and it's an excellent time to be pregnant and to have a little one! Before you remind me of all the heat, think of the good. Excellent prenatal nutrition gets a little easier because of all the fresh veggies. And an icy fruit smoothie tastes wonderful on a hot morning. The summertime gives you to opportunity to take walks on natural trails (enjoy the shade of the trees!) Your baby will love these walks too. I like to imagine that walks along the nature trails were in my baby's head as he took his first wobbly steps without support just this week. Our family has loved walking nature trails ever since my husband and I started daily walks in my 41st week of pregnancy with our first child. It is a family pastime I love to see my children enjoying. Summer also brings thoughts of splashing and playing in the water. If you're pregnant try to get out and go swimming. Not only is it a wonderful, gentle exercise, you'll also love the break it gives you from carrying all that baby weight! Have you considered the benefits of water birth? Have you wondered if a water birth is for you? This month's Tiger Lily highlights an article that discusses water birth. After you read it you may want to read the water birth stories on NBBC's Birth Story pages! Articles Product Reviews In this month's product reviews I cover the wonder of Baby Butt Butter for healing your little one's painful rash -- and for keeping that tiny tush rash free. And I discovered a product to pamper moms everywhere (and daddies too!) Take a look to find out how Happy Feet made me and my hubby smile :) Book Reviews
