Have you felt the chill in the air? I've noticed it here! If you're pregnant now I'm sure that you're breathing a sigh of relief. If you've got your natural baby with you now be sure to keep that little head and those little feet warm. I'm a fan of babies in sweet classic pilot caps myself ;)

This has been another big month for Natural Birth and Baby Care.com. I'm really feeling great again after our auto accident mid-summer and I've been working hard on NBBC. I've gotten a lot of new articles up and one special page I'm really excited about - be sure to check out the featured links to see what it is!

I'm late getting this issue of Tiger Lily out so expect to see a "mini issue" mid-November! I have a good reason to be late because...

WOW -- Natural Birth and Baby Care.com has a whole new look. If you haven't seen it yet go look right now!

This month I've featured great articles. One is on handling advice you don't want. I know that most parents face this and I think the article will give you some good advice. And are you "That Woman?" You'll have to read the article to see if you are - or maybe you will be in the future!

I'm pleased to say that NBBC's one year anniversary is coming up next month. If you've benefited from the website or from Tiger Lily please make a donation so you can enjoy giving to women and babies too.

All donations stay right on NBBC to cover costs of running the site and allow me to focus on empowering and informing you and all women so your babies can be a naturally healthy babies :D

Have a Wonderful Autumn Season,
Kristen

(PS: let me know what you think of the new site design!)

    Product Reviews

In this month's product reviews I've covered some things you'll love for baby! Be sure to read for reviews of HABA Baby Toys and my favorite baby carrier - the Korean Podaegi carrier!

    Book Reviews

  • Ina May's Guide to Childbirth: I recently gave this to a pregnant friend and told her to read it, read it, and read it again until she believed it. This book will empower you personally as you prepare for birth. I feel like it could change the world for our daughters. Read the review for more.

  • Having Twins: This contraversial book gets my thumbs up. It's a huge guide on everything multiples (at least through babyhood!) If you're looking for a natural take on having multiples this is the book you want.

    Featured Recipe

  • Vegetable Chile: My family loves this rich, warm recipe in the cold weather. It's packed with nutrition and will give you all the protein you need - along with a huge serving of veggies! I usually work on chopping the veggies for the recipe a little at breakfast and lunch so it's faster to prepare that night.

    Featured Links

  • The Book Store!: The newest feature on NBBC (beside the totally new look!) The bookstore is powered by Amazon and a portion of all proceeds benefit Natural Birth and Baby Care.com - please consider making all your Amazon purchases through the book store!

  • Birth Videos!: Did I say the bookstore was NBBC's newest feature? I guess it happened at about the same time as this feature - and what a great feature this one is! Birth videos! If you're new to natural birth these videos will give you a gentle introduction. No matter where you are on your mothering journey these will warm your heart.

  • Celebrity Baby Blog: Keep up with all that's going on in the celeb baby world. Celebrity Baby Blog is a fun site that's great to check out in the middle of the night when baby won't sleep ;) CBB is also very pro-breastfeeding and babywearing and prominently features celebs doing both.

  • Frugal Diaper Sewing: Want to make your own diaper stash?

  • Tiger Lily Back Issues: if you'd like to read the Tiger Lily archives, this is place to go :D
