Audrey Struttin Her Stuff

Audrey is now 16 months old and in this pic she is showing off the new dress mommy made her from her grandpa's old dress shirt.

We have been a CDing, ECing, babywearing (though not much now that she is walking and really wants to wherever we go), BFing, and bed sharing (though thinking that may need to change soon...she hogs the whole thing!).

We live near downtown Indianapolis, but Audrey is part of a wonderful community...our neighbors and us raise our own chickens for eggs and meat, rabbits, ducks and guineas (another fowl) for meat. We use our Siberian Husky's undercoat that she sheds during the summer to make yarn (my DD has a hat from some!)

Kiyomi, thank you so much for sharing Audrey's pic. She's such a cutie and her dress is awesome. What a way to "re-purpose" Grandpa's shirt ;)

Very cool that you guys are able to raise your own chickens and other critters - we hope to be doing that soon, too. Audrey is going to grow up so happy and healthy with good food and such a conscious mama!
