Baby Slings and Beyond!
Baby slings, carriers, baby-wearing - no matter how you say it, it's a hot topic!
From traditional cultures in Africa all the way to celeb hangouts in Hollywood - everywhere you look you'll see happy baby-wearing families.
Baby carriers are one of the most brilliant things ever invented. They are definitely mama-created!
Wearing your baby means that your hands are free and your baby is happy.
Baby slings are a perfect solution for the modern day mama and baby.
- If somebody told you that there was a way to keep your baby calm and happy while you worked around the house, would you want to know what it was?
- If somebody told you there was a way to keep your baby safe and secure while you walked with your older child, would you want to know what it was?
- If somebody told you there was a way to keep your baby protected and cozy while your were shopping in a busy store, would you want to know what it was?
Don't worry, because I'm going to tell you exactly what the answers are ;) They're baby slings - or a whole host of other baby carriers.
Solutions that involve baby slings really do keep your little one happy and healthy. The baby sling and baby wearing has proven benefits!

- Natural baby care is easy with a sling! Slings (like the Maya Wrap) are a traditional, easy to use baby carrier. These have a wide range of design, from padded to no padding, or maybe a little padding in between ;) Most have rings, but some tie on securely.
- An on-the-go, in-the-diaper-bag solution for your little one is a pouch sling. These are simple cloth pouches, very easy to store and go!
- A wraparound style baby carrier is straightforward and simple. Wraps are simply a large piece of fabric (beautiful fabric!) that can be worn in many, many ways. They are very versatile and ideal for a mom who wants many different options.
- Podaegi and Torso Carriers are traditional natural baby care equipment in several cultures. These traditional carriers are much like wraps. They have two long ties on either end which make them very versatile and easy to secure.
- Pack Style Carriers like the mei tai carrier are another flexible option with wide ties. These are carriers are increasingly popular and have beautiful and usually reversible fabric options.
- You can also get a Baby Bjorn style structured carrier, or even frame backpack carriers. They are stylish and pretty easy to use. Some parents prefer them, and backpack carriers can be good for long hikes.
- You can find water safe baby slings and carriers! Take your baby in the pool, to the beach, or for a dip in the lake. Or hop in the shower and get both of you washed in one quick trip.
- Are your little ones are learning natural baby care along with you? They can wear their "babies" like you wear your new baby with kid-sized slings available in patterns just like yours =D!
