Bleeding After Sex - Could I be Pregnant?

I had sex on May 15th and had some reddish brown spotting after. I thought it was my period about to come, I'm supposed to get my period in a couple of days but my period never came there was only light spotting when I was cleaning up after sex.

But then on May 17 i went to the bathroom and there was some brownish discharge but just a little and nothing else that day. Then I had sex again on the 19th of May and again reddish brown discharge during clean up.

I'm still waiting for my period and it's the 20th. Sometimes when I have sex and it is close to my period time I just get my period, like it helped my period come. But I'm technically not late yet until after the 22nd.

With my normal periods I would get them like 2 to 3 days before the previous month date. The first day of my last period was April 22nd so I should be getting it by today. I'm not on birth control and haven't been for awhile. And my boyfriend does the pull out method he never comes in me and we've been together for over 2 years and never had any scares. But since I've been experiencing this weird spotting after sex do you think I could be pregnant?

Answer:

Since it's a few days after your period should have arrived by now, I hope it has if that's what you were hoping for!

I don't think spotting after sex necessarily means that you're pregnant. However, spotting could indicate implantation from pregnancy. It generally occurs around 6-10 days post ovulation according to most studies.

Spotting after sex can simply be a result of being a little rough during sex. Or, like you've found it could indicate your period is coming on soon.

The best way to determine if it's a pregnancy or not is to take a home pregnancy test. You're at the point now where it will probably show a positive result if you are pregnant. Or you can call your doctor and ask for a test.

I hope you get the result you want!
