Breech Baby and I Want a Natural Birth - What About ECV?

Hi, my baby has been in breech position since we found out we were pregnant. I want to have a natural birth since my medi-care does not cover pregnancy.





I am now 35 weeks pregnant and my doctor has told me that if my baby does not turn before the 37th week, I will have a c-section. I have read all about the ECV option and I want to try it out.

Although my doctor has not yet suggested doing the ECV, should I be the one to suggest it to her?

Hi Very Confused,

If you want to try and external version I think you should suggest it to your doctor. Some doctors are not comfortable doing the procedure themselves, but she may have a colleague who will perform it for her.
