Can blood type B+ and O RH D + have a healthy baby?

by Jenny
(Ireland)

Hi there

I was just wondering if the above is possible? Myself and my partner are planning to try for a baby next year and I'm wondering if we have compatiable blood types?

Thanks for your help.

Answer:

Hi Jenny,

First I want to make sure I understand correctly, are you asking if a B+ parent and an O+ parent can have a healthy baby? If so, the answer is it's unlikely that there will be any blood type incompatibilities. The baby will probably either be B+ or O+ him/herself.

If I didn't understand clearly let me know please!

The baby will be healthy, I am o+ while my husband is B+. Our girl is B+ and she's two years old now. Hope this helps.
