I read stuff about useing your cervical fluid can help you concieve. If i wanted to try for a girl which fluid is the best? Milky white to watery or watery to stretchy.
Answer:
Hi Laura,
There are a lot of theories on how you can "sway" for the gender baby you desire.
In general the theory is that girl sperm are hardier than boy sperm, and so it's best to try for a girl on the days when your fluids are not as fertile - so the milk white fluid. The stretchy fluid ("egg-white") is the most fertile, and in theory favors boys.
There's a section on swaying for the gender of your choice on NBBC's sister site, Getting-Pregnant.com:
Gender Selection
Remember that "swaying" for gender is no guarantee - but it can influence the odds. The only "guaranteed" way to get one sex or another is use PGD (preimplantation genetic diagnosis) and use IVF to implant only embryos of the desired sex. This is expensive and has ethical concerns for some, so "swaying" the odds is preferred.
Best of luck on conceiving a little lady!
