Future Babies After C-Section?

After having my first baby via c-section, how long should I preferably wait before falling pregnant again?

Answer:

Most health care professionals will tell you to wait at least 1 year or so before you fall pregnant again.

Most midwives will tell you to wait for 2 years before falling pregnant.

After giving birth 1 year is generally good for your c-section incision to heal up. Waiting 2 years allows for your body to build back up the nutrient reserves from your last pregnancy.

Many traditional cultures waited until the first baby was 3-4 years old before the mother got pregnant again. Things are quite different in our modern day, and if you're hoping to get pregnant soon after your last baby, most recommendations will be for falling pregnant after 1 or 2 years.

Best of luck to you!

I lost my baby at 6 mths due to placenta previa and had to have her removed through a c-section! If I was to get pregnant about a month later what would be the chances of carrying it full term?
