Home Pregnancy Test

by Harika
(VA)

My last period was March 25th and I missed my period in April. When I took a home pregnancy test on May 1st, tt was Positive - it showed I am pregnant.

I don't have any symptoms of pregnancy. Is home pregnancy test correct? Please give your opinions.

Answer:

Home pregnancy tests are generally very, very accurate. If your test has said that you're pregnant is almost certain that you are. You can always take another test or have your doctor or midwife confirm with a test in the office.

It's normal not to have any symptoms, especially when you're very early in your pregnancy, which you are. Some women never experience symptoms. Others find they start around six to eight weeks of pregnancy.

Before long you'll be showing and feeling your little one move around - but in the early days when you don't see or feel any changes it's a little hard to believe.

Your pregnancy test is probably right - congratulations!
