My lower back often hurts, but not like this - it's killing me! I feel like I'm going to throw up, it feels like it's right there in the back of my throat and its taking my all to keep it down and my belly feels like its on fire :( What should I do??

Answer:

Unfortunately the best answer is usually the least pleasant - just wait and see. As you know, lower back pain during pregnancy can be a real issue, and as your baby gets bigger it can get progressively worse.

Trying lying on your side or sitting on a birth ball to encourage good position and get some relief.

As the baby grows a lot of pressure is put on your body - up, down, and side-to-side. So heartburn is common and it can also make you feel pretty sick.

If you're having contractions it's good to time them. If they get closer together and don't stop when you change activities, that's probably labor starting. But if there are not many contractions, or they putter out when you lie down (or get up and do something), then you're probably just feeling really pregnant!
