Natural Pain Relief Articles

You can use the buttons on the left-hand side of your screen to navigate through the main menu of NBBC. But since I've had a lot of questions about natural pain relief I wanted to have a page that lists all articles on pain relief during labor. This is that page! Feel free to read each of these articles and take from them what will help you during labor and birth :)

  • Relaxation - an article on basic relaxation. It's best if you start conditioning your body to relax during pregnancy. Then it comes naturally during labor.
  • Planning For Natural Pain Relief - in reality, your natural birth starts well before labor does. This article is written to help you plan your birth to give you the best chance possible for a natural birth. There are suggestions on helpful habits you can start in pregnancy - habits that will help you give birth naturally.
  • Your Perceptions of Labor - How you perceive labor and birth will influence how you feel while you are in labor. How you think about your contractions is important to how you feel. This article covers some healthy ways to think about your labor and contractions.
  • Practical Suggestions - this article is full of practical suggestions for pain relief while you are in labor and giving birth.
  • Pain Relief Checklist - a checklist you can keep nearby as you plan your birth, stock your home and your bags, and as you go into labor.
  • The Pink Kit - the ultimate childbirth preparation course - it actually gives you the skills you need to labor and give birth (no matter where you're birthing!)

I would love to expand this page with comments and suggestions that have worked for you. I'd also love to hear if one of these articles helped you during pregnany, labor, and birth. Please feel free to contact me anytime!
