Position of Baby?

I am 34 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I was told my baby was lying back to back when I was 30 weeks but now he/she has moved to the R.O.T position. What does that mean???

Answer:

This most likely means your baby is Right Occiput Transverse. Your baby is head down (also called vertex) and baby's head is back to your right.

The "Right" means your baby's head is facing your right. "Occiput" means the back of the head - it's to your right side. "Transverse" is referring to your baby looking straight to one side.

A good position for your baby to be in is "ROA" which means your baby is facing the same direction as he/she is now, but facing slightly more towards your back.

Since your baby was back to back at your last prenatal, it sounds like your baby is moving into a good position!

Good luck!
