Rh D Negative Father, Rh D Positive Mother, Is This OK?

My husband is O Rh D Negative and I am O positive. I am wondering will this cause complications if I was pregnant and will our baby have any problems as a result?

Answer:

This will not cause any problems. It does not matter if your baby is Rh+ or Rh- if you are Rh+ yourself - your body sees no threat with an Rh- baby.

The only time issues arise is when an Rh- mother is carrying an Rh+ baby. Sometimes sensitization can occur. That's not an issue for you, so your baby should be fine.
