Dear Mama-to-be,
Are you feeling pressured about induction? Do you worry that going “overdue” will ruin your plans for a natural birth?
Do you feel frustrated because you’re being put on a 40-week timer… more like something baking in the oven than a real mother with a real baby?
Or perhaps you’re struggling with trusting yourself – you want to relax and enjoy the last few weeks of your pregnancy, but you’re a little uncomfortable. You’re stressed about forced induction, but wonder if maybe they’re right…
Don’t worry, I completely understand how you feel. My due date came – and went – with my first baby. Days went by, the hours ticked on, and on, and on… I was trying hard not to get stressed out, but saw my dreams of a peaceful homebirth slipping away. At 42 weeks, my midwife wasn’t “allowed” to attend my birth at home. And my students planning a hospital birth have it even worse. The pressure to induce is incredible… even well before 43 weeks! How do you relax and find peace to enjoy your pregnancy (and finish growing your baby) when you feel like there’s a deadline looming?
The good news is, my Cassidy finally came along – at 41 weeks, 3 days – but she made it. And I actually managed to enjoy the last week pregnant with her 😉 I’ve also enjoyed those final days waiting for my other babies – and I’ve helped a lot of students relax, focus on baby, and get the facts on preventing induction and going “postdates.”
The best part? I’ve put together a class on preventing induction and understanding the end of pregnancy to teach you exactly what you need to know to feel confident and relaxed 😀 Before I talk about the class, let me share why this is so important…
The Smart Mama’s Guide to Avoiding (and Preventing) Induction
The last few weeks of pregnancy are almost overwhelmed with excitement and anticipation – you can feel it in the air!
These weeks are an incredible opportunity to relax, prepare for birthing, and gain confidence in yourself as a woman – and a mother.
How would it feel to know you could totally trust your baby’s timing. That comments from well-meaning but impatient friends and family just roll off your back – because you feel confident that labor is going to start exactly when it’s supposed to.
Would it be nice to know exactly what the evidence says about due dates, postdates, and “going overdue” – exactly what the research says about the dangers of “late babies” and “old placentas?” (hint: it might be different than you’ve been told)?
What if you knew exactly to relax and boost hormone levels sky-high to soften and open your cervix… no Pitocin (aka fake oxytocin) needed or wanted
I’ve created this class to guide you through these last few days of pregnancy – right up to 40 weeks… and even beyond – with safety, confidence, and exactly what you need to get to your little one’s best birthday.
Here’s What We’ll Cover in The SMart Mama’s Guide to Avoiding (and Preventing) Induction
I’ve filled this class with evidence-based, empowering information you need right now. The class is in video format so I can actually walk and talk you through what you need to know.
I take you by the hand and guide you through
- Why your due date is probably wrong (and how to calculate an accurate date)
- Which hormones get labor started – plus how you can get them flowing
- What to say to friends and family who keep asking if the baby is here yet…
- …how to handle a care provider who insists s/he needs to induce
- Essential questions to ask if someone suggests induction
- The truth about “old placentas” (hint: it’s “alive and kickin” ’til the cord stops pulsing)
- What you need to know about “natural” induction methods
Plus you’re going to discover
- Fact vs. Fiction: does going “overdue” increase chances of stillbirth?
- How Pitocin creates danger for both mom and baby
- Why prostaglandins and even balloon catheter induction aren’t as safe as you’ve been told
- How to relax and enjoy the end of your pregnancy 😉
- What to do to make sure your cervix is soft and ready for labor
- Why internal exams are useless for telling you “how close labor is” (and how they’re actually dangerous)
- 3 ways food is a key to helping labor start at the perfect time
This dedicated class is going to teach you what you need to know about induction – and how to avoid it… because this is information that every mom needs! I usually charge one-on-one clients $150 an hour to walk them through this information and these steps. This class is an hour long, so if I were to sit down and go over it personally, it would be a $150 consultation.
However, because this is a recording of the live class, I decided to price it at $67… my typical class rate. Then I realized that I need to get this into the hands of as many mamas as possible, so I brought the price to $67 $27

P.S. Maybe you’re thinking to yourself, “do I really need this information?” My question for you is – are you sure you’re confident in yourself, your body, your baby? Do you trust that timing, or do you feel worried about old placentas and danger to your baby? Or maybe you’re just plain tired of being pregnant and need some motivation to go the full 40 (or 41, or 42) that your baby needs. Your baby knows how long s/he needs to develop. Chemical induction (and even “natural” induction) can be dangerous. If you’re not sure about this, it’s your health – and your baby’s – that are being left up to “luck” (or worse, outdated information on what’s “safe” and what’s not). From one mama to another, I highly recommend you make the small investment of $19 to give yourself and baby a brighter birthday!
