Scope 031: Your Weight and How It Impacts Childbirth

Many women are concerned that being overweight at the beginning of pregnancy will make them “high risk” throughout pregnancy and especially concerned that their weight may cause problems during childbirth.

Today I answer a viewer's question on weight and childbirth, and also dispel some myths about what's really safe – and what's not, when starting a pregnancy overweight.

Also be sure to check out The Well Rounded Mama for plenty of evidence-based information on weight and how it impacts pregnancy and birth.

You can join me live on Periscope every Mo/Tu/Th/Fri at 1pm eastern. Use the Periscope app on your phone or tablet and find me @birthbabycare! Enjoying the scopes? Please be sure to share with other mamas and families!
