Are you hoping for a year of feeling positive, energetic, and fit? I know I am – and I know that there are a lot of mamas who are hoping, just like me, for this to be a great year.
“Great” means a lot when you’re a mama – getting two lines on a pregnancy test, feeling those first kicks, that incredible moment when you hold your new baby… or when you cuddle with that sweet smelling baby, see those first grins turn into giggles that melt your heart… watch those first steps turn in the pitter-patter-gallop of running toddler feet. There’s so much “great” going on!
Even when you celebrate your adorable, beautiful, fantastic, and (most of the time) perfect little one, your thoughts still turn to you. I’m a mama. I know that you love your baby, and you celebrate and thank your body for bringing you this little one, nurturing this little one, and taking you through this crazy life day-to-day… and I also know that sometimes, at the back of your mind, you wonder when you’ll really feel “yourself” again…
Mamas want to feel more energetic, organized, peaceful, and fit… and yes, I’ll say it, we want those last few “baby pounds” to make a smooth exit 😉
I totally honor the hard work my body has done in having 7 babies, and when I’m early postpartum, I tend to take it easy! But now I’ve got a baby about to turn 1 year old, and I want the baby weight to go goodbye. I want to feel fit and ready to chase my newly-minted toddler, and I want to feel healthy and happy in case there’s another baby in our future 😉
Maybe you can relate to some of these feelings, so I thought I’d ask if you want to join me in the MamaBaby Fitness Challenge! We’ll officially kick off next week with a week to plan, then a 30-day fitness journey that works for what you want and where you’re at. If you’re postpartum like me, that’s great – you can watch me and work right along with me to say goodbye to baby weight – and hello to more energy and a positive vibe (my 2016 resolution is to live that positive vibe!). I’ll also share tips if you’re trying to conceive or pregnant, so any mommy or mommy-to-be can join, no matter where you’re at on your mothering journey.
I’m a busy mama – I have seven kids, homeschool them, and run this website and my classes. I don’t have time for anything super-involved, so you can be sure this is something you can fit into your life 😀
We’ll talk tips for fitting fitness in, how to get your diet in shape so it satisfies and slims (or helps you gain if you need to while TTC or in pregnancy), what supplements you should consider, and more.
I’ll be doing live videos on Periscope throughout the challenge, and I’ll post inspirational pics of meals and other helps on Instagram while we’re at it. There’s going to be a lot going on, so sign up now!
