Birth is an incredible experience – bringing a new life into the world couldn't possibly be anything less than incredible. Yet it's also an intense experience. You're working hard, you're working with your baby and the two of you are doing something amazing together. You're making a miracle happen. And that is beautiful.
Can we please dump Hollywood stereotypes and modern-day desires to embrace sterile environments as a religion…
…so we can embrace birthing women for what they are – powerful, beautiful, worthy of all the support we can give them, and worthy of having all the space they need to work with their babies?
