And, of course, grow a healthy baby.
That’s what every mama wants – a healthy baby. And it’s really nice to enjoy your pregnancy while you’re at it! Most women only have a few babies in their lives, and it should be memorable for good reasons. Birth should be a good memory. And the newborn period, well, that’s going to be a little crazy – but you want to look back on it and remember a strong and healthy newborn.
How do You Have a Healthy Pregnancy?
Advice today is conflicting and confusing. What are you really supposed to do to take care of your baby. Can you prevent all of the complications that come with pregnancy? And forget about complications – what about the every day aches, pains, and just general discomfort that come from all the changes? Can you overcome those, and do it in a way that’s safe for baby?
These are all questions that I’ve had in all of my pregnancies. Maybe there were different concerns from one pregnancy to the next (for instance, I never worried about weight gain in my first couple of pregnancies – but in the last few it has definitely made me feel anxious!). I know what it’s like to have questions.
Finding the Answers
I also know that finding the right answers isn’t always easy. I’ve dedicated 13 years of my life to understanding pregnancy and birth, and I’ve spent the last 9 years helping other mamas through my website, one-on-one consulting, birthing classes, and more. It’s important to me to help mamas have healthy babies – and I truly feel that babies benefit from happy moms who have a good pregnancy and feel that they’ve worked with their babies throughout labor and birth. In other words, mamas feel great when they feel they’re making the right choices and preparing themselves and their bodies for birth – and babies only benefit from confident moms.

This class series covers the ABC’s of healthy (and happy) pregnancy… and it goes from A to Z when it comes to dealing with issues that come up in pregnancy. Diets, special diets, calories, exercise for well-being, exercise for birth preparation, handling pregnancy complaints (from anemia to varicose veins and everything in between!), dealing with stress every day – and when the big stuff happens. Picking the right birth partner and making sure he or she is actually going to help during your labor, how to handle the pushing stage without losing your cool – and of course how to squash those fears that maybe you just “can’t do it” (because guess what, you can! you’re strong 🙂 )
