Scope 034: Choosing Baby’s Doctor

Choosing a doctor for your baby is important. You’ll see your baby’s care provider for well-child checkups, and you’ll consult with him or her when your baby is sick. If your baby has special needs or an accident, your care provider coordinates care between specialists and care facilities.

It’s really important to choose a provider who listens to you, values your place as your child’s parent, and who gives you the information you need to be the decision-maker for your child. How do you find that person? That’s what today’s scope is all about!

Also be sure to check out How to Raise a Healthy Baby and Work with Your Doctor for more detailed information on choosing and working with your baby’s doctor.

You can join me live on Periscope every Mo/Tu/Th/Fri at 1pm eastern. Use the Periscope app on your phone or tablet and find me @birthbabycare! Enjoying the scopes? Please be sure to share with other mamas and families!
